Not All Body Corporates Are Taking Responsibility For The Removal Of Risk. ⠀⠀⠀ Owners have notified some bodies corporates that their ventilation system needs maintenance. The accumulation of lint and material content within the ventilation system creates risk and can act as a fire load. We first addressed our concerns regarding system maintenance responsibilities direct with BCCM and QFES in 2016. Further, SafeAir’s articles have highlighted the importance of potential risks. ⠀⠀⠀ Some bodies corporates have advised SafeAir that it is not the committees responsibility to clean the system, and to contact owners direct, however, in our request for owners information, these details are not available due to privacy. ⠀⠀⠀ At this point, communication ceases.
