Replace Broken, Damaged or Corroded Volume Control Dampers (OBD) For Maximum Airflow Control
Volume Control Dampers, or OBD’s, are either fixed in to the duct itself or fitted on to the rear of the air register. Adjustable damper blades allow the exhaust ventilation duct system to draw the correct volume of air at each floor level, in to the buildings ventilation ducts and central riser system to atmosphere.
Control Damper mechanisms should be set accordingly to enable each area (toilet, bathroom, ensuite and laundry) to exhaust the correct volume of air to meet Australian Standards recommended number of air-changes per hour. SafeAir Dampers are available in a range of sizes to suit most systems, however custom-sizing and manufacturing specifications are also available.
